Short information :- NTA UGC NET December Online Form 2025 has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for eligibility in Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). The online application will start from 07 October 2025 and the last date to apply is 07 November 2025. There is no fixed total vacancy because this exam only provides eligibility, not direct recruitment. Candidates must have a post-graduate degree to apply. NTA UGC NET December Online Form 2025
Examination details:-
- Exam Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
This means candidates will answer questions on a computer at the exam center. - Papers in Exam: There will be two papers — Paper-1 and Paper-2.
Paper-1 checks general teaching and research skills. Paper-2 checks subject knowledge. - Subjects Asked in Paper-1:
– Teaching aptitude
– Research aptitude
– Reasoning
– Reading comprehension
– Communication skills
– General awareness
These topics test basic understanding and thinking ability. - Subjects in Paper-2:
Paper-2 questions will be from the subject chosen by the candidate.
This means you must study your selected subject carefully. - Total Questions:
– Paper-1: 50 questions
– Paper-2: 100 questions
Total 150 questions will be asked. - Total Marks:
– Paper-1: 100 marks
– Paper-2: 200 marks
The combined total is 300 marks. - Negative Marking:
There is NO negative marking in this exam.
Wrong answers will not reduce your marks. - Exam Duration:
The total duration will be 3 hours.
Candidates must complete both papers in one sitting. - Cut-off:
Cut-off marks will be released after the exam.
